Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work best with women who are reflective, motivated for change, and looking for a deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns. Many of my clients are high-achieving women navigating the emotional realities of modern motherhood — including identity shifts, anxiety, overwhelm, perfectionism, relationship changes, ADHD, and the invisible mental load of daily life.

You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many of my clients appear high-functioning on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to sustain the lives they’ve built.

  • I specialize in:

    • the transition into motherhood and matrescence

    • postpartum anxiety and depression

    • overwhelm and burnout

    • identity shifts in motherhood

    • mental load and emotional labor

    • ADHD and motherhood

    • perfectionism and self-criticism

    • balancing career, relationships, and parenting

    • couples and relationship support during parenthood

  • Matrescence refers to the emotional, psychological, relational, and identity transformation that occurs when becoming a mother. Much like adolescence, matrescence can bring enormous internal changes that often feel confusing, overwhelming, and invisible to others.

Many women are surprised by how deeply motherhood impacts their sense of self, relationships, priorities, career, and emotional wellbeing. Therapy can provide a space to process and navigate these changes with greater self-compassion and support.

  • Not at all. I work with women in all stages of motherhood — from pregnancy and early postpartum to years into parenting. Many clients come to therapy because they feel overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, struggling to balance competing demands, or wanting more sustainable ways of living and relating.

  • Therapy with me is collaborative, reflective, and practical. I provide a space where you can slow down, process your emotions honestly, better understand your patterns, and reconnect with yourself.

Alongside emotional processing, I also help clients develop supportive systems and routines that reduce overwhelm and make daily life feel more manageable. Depending on your goals, our work may include nervous system regulation, communication skills, values exploration, relationship dynamics, Fair Play strategies, or executive functioning support.

  • Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency in the work. As therapy progresses, some clients transition to biweekly sessions depending on their needs and goals.

  • Yes! I offer virtual therapy sessions for clients located in Texas and Ohio. Virtual therapy allows many busy mothers and professionals to access support more consistently and sustainably. I have in person availability for clients in the Cleveland area at my office in Oberlin, Ohio.
